Transgender Law Center

Transgender Law Center (TLC) is the largest national trans-led organization advocating for a world in which all people are free to define themselves and their futures. It offers a variety of supports for trans and gender⁠ (gender: Characteristics that are seen or presented as distinguishing between male and female in a society. Gender may or may not include assigned or chosen: social roles, feelings, behaviors and/or presentation or appearance.) -nonconforming people looking to navigate legal issues and other challenges related to their gender identity⁠ (gender identity: A person’s own sense of whether and in what sense they feel they might be a man, a woman, neither, a mixture of genders, or another gender entirely.) . It has resources on many issues, including name changes, immigration, health, employment, and housing.
