Finding your sense of self can be hard. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try.

As I enter an intimate relationship, it’s important to remember how to be alone, too.

Teenagerhood should be a time of dreams and expansion. We should be allowed to open our inner selves up and absorb as much light and life as we possibly can. We should be, but other people are often too often invested in what they think we should be to let us be what we are.

You’re not inhuman. Please know that. While, sure, some of sexuality is innate, far more of it is learned. So, anyone who is inexperienced and/or without information on sex and sexuality is going to feel uncomfortable, naive and unprepared. Plus, a lot of school-based sex education can be helpful…
