FORGE is a national transgender⁠ (transgender: Describes people who find that the gender applied to them because of the sex they were assigned at birth is incorrect.) anti-violence organization offering services to trans, non- binary⁠ (binary: Made up of two things or parts; a system with only two possible options or parts.) , and otherwise gender⁠ (gender: Characteristics that are seen or presented as distinguishing between male and female in a society. Gender may or may not include assigned or chosen: social roles, feelings, behaviors and/or presentation or appearance.) non-conforming individuals. Resources include referrals to trans-competent therapists, peer listervs, and self-help guides for survivors.
