Holes in condoms?

This might be a stupid question, but I've read on the internet that condoms can have microscopic holes in then that allow sperm to pass through but you aren't able to notice it. Is this true?

So if the condom had failed, it would be noticeable right?

Correct--you'd be able to tell if a condom failed.
