masturbation isn't working anymore?

Unread post by utgard »

hey, so I (15 afab) finally figured out how to masturbate a few weeks ago, and the first time it was so good I literally cried- And a few times after that it was still good, and my clit stayed really sensitive for a while afterwards.

But then it started to get really hard to get any pleasure? Like the same things I'd done before didn't work anymore, and it took ages of trying to get any pleasure at all, and even then it wasn't very much, and afterwards I wouldn't be sensitive at all.

I've tried reading smut and watching porn whilst I do it, but it doesn't work. And smut used to turn me on but it doesn't anymore, even when I reread ones that did it for me?

Also I haven't tried any penetration, mostly because I don't have any condoms, but also when I've just put my fingers in it doesn't do anything, so I don't think trying that will work either.

so, does anyone know why it's happening and what I can do to make it work again?

Hello utgard!

I'm sorry that masturbation feels nowhere near as good as it used to, despite your trying things like porn and smut, and I can understand the frustration you're undergoing. First off, I want to let you know that it's completely normal to have spells where masturbation and sex don't feel pleasurable. Also, the excitement of discovery and the novelty of masturbation may have died down a bit, after the intensity of the last few weeks, so that might be dampening your sexual response. And that's totally normal too!

But just to check: how is your overall mental and physical health, at the moment? Are you on any medications? And have you experienced any big life changes or stressors recently?
