Thanks Heather! We’ll take note in future.
Also, today I forgot to take my Yasmin pill until now, which is 7pm. I usually take it at 10am, so I am about 9 hours late. Is that still ok? Is there any issue of say someone accidentally forgot and took 2 tablets in a day instead of 1?

Re: Vaginal bleeding - is medical attention needed?
Hi Heather,
No lubricant used as we were already naturally quite wet. His nails weren’t extremely sharp, just slightly long. No pain or cramping experienced so far.
Thanks!

When it ended, I went to the restroom to shower and I realised that my vagina was bleeding slightly. It was not a heavy flow period k...

Re: Yasmin pills
Thank you. I have stopped the pill for about 3 months and have gotten back on the pill recently. First pill was on 8 July and today is the 4th pill free day. I have been spotting quite a bit since the first pill and I understand it’s a side effect of the pill. The spotting used to go away after the ...

Hello! I managed to get my Yasmin pills refilled and have started taking them. My pills are in a 21-pill pack and contains ethinyl estradiol (0.03mg) and drospirenone(3mg) I assume that each pill contains the same amount and it doesn’t matter which pill from the pack I start taking first? Reason why...

Re: How to change timing of Yasmin pills?
Hello!
Just to make it easier, I wonder if I can just take the pills at 3pm for the rest of the pack for the full 21 days. And for the next pack after 7 days rest, I take the pill at 10am. Does that make sense?

Hello. I have managed to refill my Yasmin pills and I have just gotten my period (first day) today. I took the first pill today at 3pm as my period came in the afternoon. However my preference is to take the pills in the morning when I get up. How do I go about changing the timing of the pills becau...

Hi Sam, Thank you for the response. I had my last pill on April 24 and withdrawal bleed happened from April 28 to 30. After which I stopped the pill and was waiting for my “natural” period to begin again. I had some bleeding that started yesterday, it started with some spotting and then gradually mo...

Re: Yasmin and cancer risks
Thank you Heather. I took my last Yasmin pill on April 24, and my withdrawal bleed started from April 28 to 30. It’s now day 33 of my cycle and my “natural period” isn’t back yet. My cycle before the pills have always been irregular, so it ranges from 39 days to 54 days the longest. Is it possible t...

Re: Yasmin and cancer risks
Hi Amanda, I think the hormones in the pills don’t stay in the body forever, am I right? I think Heather mentioned in one of the articles that it stays in the body for only 2 to 3 days? And they get flushed out? That’s why we need to take the pills everyday to prevent pregnancy, which makes a lot of...

Re: Yasmin and cancer risks
Hello, I just wanted to follow up as I haven’t been able to refill my pills because of the lockdown. Also I have been doing quite a lot of reading online regarding the pills as I have stopped taking them in April. I know it’s been said that the birth control pill has been studied widely and is safe ...

Re: Contraceptive pills - medical history
I watch tv mostly to help me copy with the anxiety. But as everyone knows, there isn’t much anyone can do with the situation and the fact that I can’t get access to medication until June. It annoys me because I am someone who loves to stay on schedule and because so far the pill has been working so ...

Re: Contraceptive pills - medical history
Perhaps my mantra could be like “everything will be fine, I will be fine” So we just had an announcement a couple of days ago that our lockdown will be extended for the entire month of May, and the tentative end date would be on 1 June. This means that I won’t be able to get my packs refilled until ...

Re: Contraceptive pills - medical history
I am so sorry, I think I have another question. I am currently taking Yasmin, and when I stop for a while until I get my pack refilled, will my body still react the same way as it is now? I have no problems at all with yasmin, the first month I had a bit of spotting, but that cleared up pretty quick...

So, they have made an announcement to tighten measure for the lock down. We are not allowed to leave our homes anymore unless it is for absolute emergencies. Re: Contraceptive pills - medical history
In response to Jacob’s question, I agree that many of us live in communities where birth control isn't talked about, and is treated negatively. it is Definitely so where I live and in my family. i know it is supposedly safe to take it long term, and I agree that it’s the psychological fear that make...

Hi Sam, The clinic that I usually go to is now closed I think. We can’t get the pills at pharmacies here. I apologise for the multiples posts!! I just thought of another question. Do people take it just so that they can push back or delay their periods?
