Re: Crush on someone 4 years older than me.

Can I ask what it is you feel doesn't apply? I appreciate that the opening paragraphs contain statistics about relationships between younger women and older men, but other than that the article seems pretty gender neutral to me.

Re: Ex Relationship... Kinda Messy?

Given that you've said that it was one of the major factors in the dissolution of your relationship, and that calling his attention to it doesn't seem to have made a difference, do you think you may just have to decide whether or not this uncomfortable behaviour is one you're willing to put up with?...

Re: Crush on someone 4 years older than me.

Hi, The_Alpha! We've got a really great article about relationships with age gaps here, if you want to check it out: http://www.scarleteen.com/article/politics/whats_age_got_to_do_with_it The one thing that always occurs to me in these kinds of relationships is that a lot changes between the ages of...

Re: Wife's friend thinks my wife is married to a gay man(ME!

If there's anything you're specifically not understanding, let me know and I'll do my best to explain it better. Do you think there are any labels or identities that you feel particularly drawn to, or are you happier just accepting your fantasies right now?

Re: Wife's friend thinks my wife is married to a gay man(ME!

Well, if you find a man that you find attractive (in real life, or a celebrity, or in porn), it's a lot easier to be like "well, I find that man attractive" than to be like "does this mean I'm bisexual?" By all means, exploring your sexual identity is a valid thing to do, and a l...

Re: Wife's friend thinks my wife is married to a gay man(ME!

That's understandable. It's perfectly natural for sexual feelings to wane like that - particularly when you're still questioning your orientation. I think the most important thing is to experience attraction freely first, and try to find labels for it afterwards. It's a lot easier to feel your feeli...

Re: Wife's friend thinks my wife is married to a gay man(ME!

Okay, well the great thing about sexual identity is that it's entirely down to you. For instance, a lot of people divide between romantic and sexual orientation - so if you describe yourself as feeling for women in 'every way', but men only sexually, you might choose to identify as a heteroromantic ...

Re: Isn't this sexual assault?

The thing is, you can set your expectations as high as you like - and so you should. While there are a certain number of men who do exert pressure, victim blame and act thoughtlessly during sex, there are a plethora of men who don't - and there are no excuses for those who do. While there are some h...

I'm very sorry to hear that you and her are no longer friends, and that she was so unhelpful and misunderstanding of you. Would you like to talk to us about re-opening this friendship, or would you rather have help on moving on from it?

Re: Isn't this sexual assault?

Doing anything sexual without your partner's consent is always sexual assault, yes. No always means no - more specifically, a lack of a freely given, ongoing 'yes' is a no. We can't know how many men do these behaviours, however I have to ask what aim you had in posting this - did you want to rant a...

Re: Relationship confusion

So it seems like the situation you have here is that you've met this guy, you were initially dating and then pulled back to a friendship which appears to have most of the qualities of dating, anyway, and you would like to be in a relationship with this person, and you're not sure how to approach thi...

Re: Antibiotic + BCP Switch + EC

If you've taken your pill correctly, taken the EC and had two negative pregnancy tests, you can be comfortably sure that you aren't pregnant. The spotty bleed this month may well be just down to the differences in your birth control recently.

Re: Why cant I have good sex?

It seems like you've reference discomfort a couple of times - being embarrassed and frustrated about showing your partner what you like, and feeling pressure when it's partnered sex rather than you by yourself. Do you think that possibly there are things that you and/or your partner could do to help...

This article might offer you a few explanations as to why your period might have gone missing: M.I.A or, Dude, Where's My Period? Re: cannot sleep before period

One option that might be helpful to you could be going on the birth control pill, or another form of hormonal birth control that lessens the symptoms of PMS. While it's not a guarantee, a lot of people do find that hormonal birth control makes PMS symptoms a lot easier to manage, which would presuma...

Re: Copper iud - weird bleeding?

Bleeding tends to be a pretty good sign of not being pregnant, so you don't have to worry about that. However, you may want to address the fact that you're having unusual bleeding and pain with a healthcare provider, as it may be a sign of infection.

Re: New Pack = Risks Reset?

If you back up from until the first seven days of active pills have passed, you should be confident that the pill is working to it's full effectiveness again. As for in case of ovulation, the pill also works in two other ways, too - to thicken cervical mucus so sperm cells are less able to get to or...

For your second point, if your girlfriend were to ovulate because of a missed or late pill (which, for just one, woul...

I would recommend that you read these articles: Honorably Discharged: A Guide to Vaginal Secretions , and On the Rag: A Guide to Menstruation , and work out if, after reading, you feel like what you're experiencing is abnormal. You certainly don't need to be freaked out about pregnancy though, becau...

Re: New Pack = Risks Reset?

Hi, and welcome to the boards! For your first question: After 12 hours, the pill is considered 'missed', so your girlfriend should just take the next pill at the normal time as usual. For your second question, yes, she's not pregnant if she gets her withdrawal bleed, and after this bleed you can be ...

Re: Pain and Discharge

Two negative pregnancy tests and a regular period comfortably rules out pregnancy, so no worries there.

I would second Karyn's recommendation that you see a healthcare provider about this, though - these symptoms lasting this long are something to take up with them, not us.

Re: Inducing periods

Just myths, I'm afraid. Things like hormonal birth control can make your cycle more regular (but not always), but there's no way to flat out induce a period like that. They just happen when they happen.
