Pregnancy test

Unread post by samy5 »

Hi,
I took a blood pregnancy test after 17 days from the intercourse and it came out negative. I wanted to ask you that is 17 days from the risky intercourse enough for trusting the result or should i retake? And can any hormone imbalance effect the test result?

Since a blood test is run by a healthcare professional, that person should have asked you enough questions about your situation and when your risk was to determine if the test would be accurate at that point. Blood tests are very accurate and false negatives are rare, but if you are concerned about a particular health issue impacting the test results, your best bet is to give that doctor's office or clinic a call to ask about your specific situation.
