I just recently started birth control, I am 12 days into my first pack. Last night I had sex with my partner and he came inside of me. ShouId I be worried of pregnancy because I just started birth control?

Hi aimk222,

The beginning effectiveness of the BCP varies from person to person as well as from pill to pill, and also depends on when, in your cycle, you started your pack. See here for more info: Combined Oral Contraceptives (The Pill).

We usually advise to wait a full cycle of the pill before going without barriers/condoms, just to be safe. I'd recommend using condoms for the rest of this first cycle, and read up on the above link for how the pill works. Additionally, the first question here explains start dates for the pill so you can gauge your risk level more accurately.
