Re: advice for next step??
I'm sorry Heather, I don't understand what I'm supposed to say other than what I've said above about my feelings...my counsellor has been asking for the same thing you have, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to say if what I've said above isn't right?

Re: advice for next step??
I want them to feel even half the hurt feelings I do, I admit it. When I read the part about feeling disrespected, a little voice in my head says 'but they never asked you to give everything' . But the point is, I do. It's who I am. And I would like even a little bit of appreciation and guilt on the...

Re: advice for next step??
There's a couple of things regarding how people's feelings towards me. One of those things is that I have been brought up to respect people, treat people how I want to be treated, and to never be mean to anyone. I guess part of my feelings about this is that I just cannot understand how someone can ...

Re: advice for next step??
I hate to bring this thread back up but I am struggling again...:/ I have spoken to my counsellor every week for the past month or so about this, but things have just got worse for me in recent weeks, I feel like I have no one who is a friend I can talk to. I have to be honest, I had a sexual relati...

Re: navigating single life
I am covering issues with self-esteem in my counselling, through my work with my counsellor I have come to realise most of my issues around anxiety boil down to low self-esteem. I guess you've probably noticed a similar theme through what you know of me here :P So I suppose part of it is about chang...

navigating single life
Hi guys :) So, long story short, I find myself single again. I won't go into the reasons why, that's a whole other thread haha, but I know that this time I intend to stay single for a while at least. The thing is, the thought really scares me :( I haven't been properly single for a few years now (in...

Re: World Sexual Health Day 2015
to me, 'sexual rights' most certainly include access to all types on contraception for everyone, no matter the age/sexual orientation of the individual. I also think everyone has the right to get that contraception without judgement and with care and compassion from the provider. Also, sexual rights...

Re: need an objective outlook?
She did say to take it with a pinch of salt, and that not everything will apply. to be honest, I'm not really one for majorly stereotyping men and women, so I apologise for any offence caused with my use of 'man cave' :) I basically sent him a message back saying 'okay, I take from what you're sayin...

Re: advice for next step??
i had another pregnancy test done today at my local young persons contraception clinic, it was negative. the nurse said i was welcome to come back if i was still concerned, but hoped it would put my mind at rest. she wouldnt let me take it with me, saying that it would only cause me more panic if i ...

Re: advice for next step??
I've asked a friend if they can come with me on Friday to get another test done at the young peoples clinic where I had the implant first inserted. Heather, I know you said it probably isn't a sound idea to have another test, but I really feel its the best next step for me.

Re: advice for next step??
so i had my counselling session and we addressed everything i have dicussed here. Re: advice for next step??
im sorry if i wasnt very clear: no, the results were not clearly positive, but there was definitely a faint line where the positive result should be on both tests i did myself. i did initially think i was imagining it given my propensity to overthinking and imagining things in my head. but no, there...

Re: advice for next step??
im not 100% the doctor listened to my concerns..she, like the nurses i spoke to a few weeks ago about an increase in bleeding on the nexplanon seemed more concerned with whether i wanted it taken out. i explained both times that as long as its not an underlying medical cause, i am happy to deal with...

Re: advice for next step??
would you recommend going back to a doctor and having another test done given the fact I had two unclear results on HPTs, or do you think one negative test performed by a doctor is enough?
