Re: Time zones

I tried to tell her I was on birth control and hopefully start talking about it from there, but she got extremely defensive as to why I was taking it and it felt very uncomfortable to bring up the subject of worrying about pregnancy.

Re: Time zones

Okay thank you! It's so easy to get hung up on the stories of people bleeding and then finding out they're still somehow pregnant; they aren't really that true/common are they? Especially if I'm showing no other signs that they're even could somehow be a pregnancy?

Re: Time zones

Okay! Thank you! I actually had another trip right back to Europe about a week after I had gotten back but I did keep taking the pill at the same time based on when I took it at home. I had a normal period, so that should mean that I'm not pregnant right? I spotted a little at the beginning but afte...

Re: Time zones

Thank you so much!! :D

This site is an absolute blessing; I wouldn't get this advice/help from anywhere else and it's been so nice to calm down after knowing that my world won't end after doing something "bad" like having sex!

Re: Time zones

Thank you so much! So a few hours wouldn't really present an issue? And with condoms, if there is no visible slipping, no holes or tears, and it was put on properly, I can be very sure that it did not fail?

Time zones

I recently got back from Europe for a school trip and I had to start my new pack of pills over the course of my trip. My withdrawal bleed came normally and everything and I started my pills pretty close to when I would take them at home in my normal time zone. However, the second day, I was a few ho...

Re: Inert week

Thank you so much! This has been super helpful and kind of a reality check of sorts? It would probably be good for me to stop paying so much attention to my body's "signs" or worries and just try to enjoy myself.

Re: Inert week

Thank you! It's not the easiest to always remember that worrying just makes you miserable rather than solving anything and that I should feel happy in my own skin. However, as mentioned in the article, my worrying tends to take off when I pay too much attention to physical symptoms, i.e. Breast/ bac...

Re: Inert week

Yes actually! I have an appointment scheduled with one next Friday and she helped my little sister through extreme OCD so I know she does a good job. I'm trying every way possible to let myself relax and just trust my contraception, I really hope this helps out.

Inert week

So I had protected sex with my boyfriend the first day of my placebo pill week with my boyfriend. This was about two weeks ago. I didn't miss any pills or anything and we used condoms (plus pulling out) as well. I got my period like normal about two days later. I'm not really worried about being pre...

Re: Trusting my contraception

Thank you! I talked to my partner and we agreeed it would be best to abstain from any form of sex that could result in a pregnancy for now because of how anxious I've gotten. I really do hope this works though because I would like to continue that part of our relationship without so much worry.

Weird period

So I'm just finishing my inactive week on my second month of birth control. I got my period last month and had a negative test, plus my period this month with another negative test. My partner and I are very safe and use two methods of birth control properly. These past few days I've noticed thick b...

Re: Trusting my contraception

Thank you! My mom accepted my offer to find a counselor and I'm nervous but looking forward to starting again. Should this help ease my irrationalness about getting pregnant?

Trusting my contraception

I'm in a long term relationship that's very supportive and with a guy that I can honestly say has become my best friend. We decided that we were ready to have sex together about a month and a half ago and honestly, it brought us so much closer. However, as much as I enjoy being that connected to him...

Re: Vitamin C and birth control

Thank you! So basically, taking supplements would qualify as like food or water taken with my pill and therefore not interact?

Vitamin C and birth control

I read somewhere online that taking vitamin C while on birth control can cause the pill to be less effective. However, I've also seen other facts stating that vitamin C is necessary to take on birth control due to definciency! I take a dosage of 1000mg vitamin C in the morning along with my pill; sh...

yes it is because I'm hitting a point where I'm not really sure how to cope with stress and worry like this. I'm not too sure how to go about that though. Thank you for your help!

Re: Mental health and safe sex

Currently, I am not. I had an unpleasant experience with a rude counselor, plus my parents avoid conversation about mental health. I do have an adult and a few friends that I can talk to when I need to though.

Mental health and safe sex

so I'm very new to scarleteen but I was recommended to come here to hash out some stuff. I'm in a very happy long-term relationship with my boyfriend and A few weeks ago, we decided to have sex for the first time together. I've been taking tri-lo Marzia for about five weeks and got my period last we...
