does my cup travel up?

Hi! Thank you!

I don't try to insert my cup that high, but after a few hours it is right up near my cervix so it is very hard to get out! Is there any way I can stop that from happening? Or is it just my muscles?

I also wanted to make sure, the maximum time you can keep a cup in is 12 hours, right? until then is completely safe? Or is 8 hours a safer amount of time somehow?

Hi iloveeveryone,

Oof that sounds difficult, I’m sorry! Two thoughts come to mind, but let me know if you’ve tried them. 1) Make sure the cup is the right size, or perhaps using a longer-stemmed cup could be helpful. 2) You can also try different folds of the cup while inserting it to see if the way you insert it makes a difference in the seal and whether it moves.

Yes, you can safely keep a menstrual cup in for up to 12 hours, but on days with heavier flows, it might need to be emptied more frequently.

Thank you!! It does make my vagina a bit sore.

Yes, I will consider changing the cup again to a longer one. Would the cup being almost as long as my vagina be okay? As long as the stem isn't out. I'll also try the folds!

As long as the stem isn't out it should be good, yep! That + maybe a different fold should help :)
