Its' definitely got its' problematic elements. I dunno, I'm somewhere in the middle where I wish detractors wouldn't call an activity with consenting adults 'pedophilia apology' since there's no actual minors involved (I mean, I should hope not) at the same time it feels kind of...I don't know if there's a word that fits better than appropriative, for people that aren't incest survivors to be using? Like survivors have talked about it being a kind of catharsis, for everyone else it just seems like "here is my edgy play-pretend incest". Like it seems to go beyond the one roleplay session to the point of actually naming their dynamic after it and not sure what I'm getting at here, lobbing around some of the saccharine terms for instance seems like it could get offensive pretty fast?
Not saying that to throw shade at people partaking in it, I'm pretty much at the point where "yeah the detractors kind of put me off with being generally nasty about it and saying one side is being borderline-pedophillic".
