What are some of your favorite ways to get your body moving outdoors?

Spring has sprung! In honor of the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, I'd like to propose a discussion on getting outside and moving your body. The frost and downpours have (hopefully) started to subside and the sun may be beginning to peak out a little more. The sun sets later and provides the opportunity for a post-school or work outdoor sesh. What are your favorite ways to embrace this time?

I try to move my body in the springtime with daily walks around my neighborhood. While "daily" has been a bit ambitious lately, any amount of time I can spend poking my head out into the sunshine is appreciated. Let us know how you like to get your body moving outdoors!

I love this topic!

Totally here for walks, especially with my dogs, who are very, very happy about the warming weather and all the new smells.

I'll also start working on my back porch container garden as soon as I can! I geek out on this just like everything else, so I want to broadcast that some bacteria in dirt (Mycobacterium vaccae, if you also want to dork out) boosts our immune systems and can make us feel happier by way of upping our serotonin levels.

This is greatly dependent on location and weather, but doing things you would normally do indoors, just outside. One time when I was at college, I just went to a terrace outside the library where I could still get wifi and set up there for an hour and watched YouTube videos. You can do the same with other things, but the idea is the same. Do indoors stuff, but outdoors.

Echoing the above, I love to transfer a lot of my indoor activities to outside. This includes taking meals on my back porch, reading, yoga, smoking etc. so many things that can easily be taken outside!

I like going to events we have downtown and wandering the public area! Love seeing tons of different people and talking with strangers!

I'm going to say riding my bike! Extra points if I have the time to go find a place to camp and jump in some (clean, safe) water.
