Not a teen!

Unread post by Tameletjie »

I was recommended Scarleteen as a safe place to learn about gender identity. Problem is, I'm very much not a teenager. I'm 50 😑

I recently realised that the oddness about my gender identity I've known about all my life can be described as being non binary and I would like to find out more about that, and gender identity in general.

Will my questions and presence be awkward here because of my age?

It's all good! All we ask is that you recognize we'll usually tend to younger people and their needs first, then circle around to older folks. Thanks for being thoughtful about it!

I'm happy to talk to you as both someone who is nonbinary and in your age bracket. :)

Hi Tameletjie,

Glad to hear it :) What would be useful for you right now? Do you want to share a little of what you've been thinking about around gender, or for us to share some resources with you, or...?
