Well i was planning on sending it to my partner after they asked for a few but im unsure if its ok to take a vid and send it or not

No, given you are 17, it is absolutely not from a legal perspective for your safety (and theirs). Legally, that is classified as child pornography since you are a minor, and it would be a serious federal offense for both of you -- for them to ask, and for you to provide it.
