Re: Should I be worried?

Hi Sam, We’ll take a break at least from doing things to each other at the same time, that’ll probably reduce my anxiety. We haven’t been sexually active for a while because he works, I had my wisdom teeth taken out two weeks ago and have been recovering, and we spent Christmas with our own families...

Re: Should I be worried?

I just spoke with a my boyfriend about this. Apparently he uses different hands for different acts, he uses the hand he held mine with only for himself, the other for me. I don’t know how I didn’t notice this before, but I suppose I hyper fixate on some things so much I don’t notice others. He expli...

Re: Should I be worried?

Hi Mo. I have low pain tolerance and huge anxiety. I think my anxiety surrounding pregnancy may stem from when my sister was first pregnant with my niece when I was 10 (my sister is ten years older than me). I remember her talking about having to have blood tests and regular vaccinations, and kid me...

Should I be worried?

Hi Scarleteen. I saw my boyfriend after a couple weeks and we ended up having sexual contact. Not vaginal sex but touching each other and whatnot. I forgot to take my birth control pill this morning. No biggie, it’s a combination pill and I take them like clockwork every day, I just happened to be i...

Re: Dysmorphia or Pregnancy?

Something my therapist had me do is run through the science of whatever I was anxious about since I’m already into that sort of stuff. I had a severe needle phobia we were working on together and knowing the science behind how and why vaccines work helped a lot. I was also taught breathing and groun...

Re: Dysmorphia or Pregnancy?

I do have the means to get a pregnancy test, but I’m hesitant to because what if it is positive, stuff like that. It’s that fear of knowing that gets me, even if knowing can get me help sooner

Dysmorphia or Pregnancy?

TW for weight! I’m roughly 5 feet tall, and 125 pounds. Not the healthiest according to BMI, and knowing that causes issues for me. I have some stomach fat like a lot of people, and from my perspective, it looks large. This typically doesn’t bother me, usually I can tell myself it’s normal fat distr...

Re: Coping with Loss

He’s wonderful, he gave me stuffed animals resembling the other cats I’ve lost in the past. I intend on dressing the one that represents Dean in a bunny hat I had bought for him to wear (that he did not enjoy no matter how handsome it made him). I may need to alter it for a smaller head, but it’ll k...

Re: Coping with Loss

I’m very sorry, I had class yesterday and today was my boyfriend’s day off, so I went to see him. I’m doing a little better every day. It’s still fresh, and hurts really bad, but I feel like it’s sunken in that he’s gone. I talk to him, either at the tree he’s buried under or to objects I feel are c...

Re: Coping with Loss

I was able to take the day off from class today. My professor understand when I emailed him, and let me know which chapters of our textbook we were going to focus on. We buried him earlier. My boyfriend came over before work to help. I cried the whole time. I think I’m okay with not being okay right...

Coping with Loss

Hi Scarleteen. Last night was traumatic for me. Election aside, I watched my cat die. His name was Dean. He was playing and bouncing around and being himself, and then he just started seizing on the floor. He didn’t have any conditions we knew about. I don’t know how to cope with this. I lost anothe...

Re: Ovulation?

I’m sorry it’s been a few days, they’ve been pretty eventful for me.
I think just knowing that my symptoms could be that of anxiety may help. My boyfriend and I are taking a break from sex due to an unrelated reason. I think that may help.

Re: Ovulation?

I worry that I might be because I am sexually active, especially that it might have happened in the past. I always use condoms and have him pull out though, and just had a period. I realized that I didn’t mention that I’m not experiencing anything that would be associated with normal ovulation in me...

Re: Ovulation?

Yes, I’ve been meaning to see my doctor anyway for a different prescription (need some anxiety pills for whenever I get my wisdom teeth out). She might be able to help.

Re: Ovulation?

I happened to just read somewhere that sometimes hormonal birth control can cause ovarian cysts. Could this be the culprit?

Ovulation?

Hi Scarleteen! I’m currently on the combined pill, I take it roughly around the same time every morning with the rest of my meds (give or take an hour or so, it really depends on how I sleep, but it’s every day). I have been on the pill for about a year and a half, and have always taken it correctly...

My boyfriend and I don’t have any other specifics. I may end up getting a variety pack so we can explore a little!

Re: To Trash or Not to Trash?

I think I’ll still pitch them just to be safe. My boyfriend and I typically use Trojan, but do you have any recommendations for other brands we could try? Not so much for protection, but as additional pleasure during sex?

To Trash or Not to Trash?

Hey Scarleteen! I just have a quick question! So, my boyfriend and I went out to a zoo for our anniversary, and planned on having sex later. He mentioned that he had only one condom left, so I brought my stash in its box in case we needed it. We only ended up using his, it didn’t break or slip off s...

So overall, I have nothing to worry about since it’s the combination pill? Sounds a lot better than what my anxiety was saying!

Re: Late Birth Control Pill!

Ah, I see! Perhaps I’m confusing it with the three hour window rule for the mini pill. My sister also explained to me that it takes a while for hormones to leave my system, which makes sense seeing as I stop taking pills on a Sunday and usually get my period that Tuesday.

Late Birth Control Pill!

Hi Scarleteen! I need some advice. I woke up this morning forgetting to take my pill, and only realized it about four hours later and took it. This is the first week of this pack. I had vaginal sex with my boyfriend on Tuesday, and used condoms and had him pull out, and I’ve been using the pill almo...

An update!

It’s been almost three weeks, and I’ve since gotten my (birth control induced) period. Things were normal, and I think I feel a lot better about the experience!

Re: First Time Fears

I’m very lucky to have a mom like her, especially given the area I live in.

I’ve actually been playing a lot of Spider Solitaire on my phone, and I have sensory toys that I can fiddle around with.
