Biography

Jacob is a 19 year old scarleteen volunteer currently studying Civil Engineering in Leeds University.

When younger he found it difficult to communicate with friends; often saw himself as an outsider but thinks that being forced to see much of his social-world from the exterior has provided a different perspective that his friends now say they really appreciate when they ask for his advice.

He fantasises about ridding himself of as many categorisations and labels as possible, and can often be found giving long explanations to people who can't understand how he doesn't/can't identify with any sexual orientation.

He especially enjoys, one-on-one time with old friends and new people, painting, reading poetry and songwriting with friend, Mrs. Guitar. He learns from lots of people and tries hard to empathise with everyone who might be aggressive or he doesn't understand.

He has been a user since 2006 and says Scarleteen is one of the most important websites he's ever used, it, and it's volunteers, have forced him to think in a completely conscientious way about many aspects of his life.

In the future he aims to keep his mind open, and live a low-stressed life which expresses as much as possible of what he thinks about.
