I am a mother of a young 14-year-old girl. Recently my daughter approached me with a question, and I wasn't sure about my answer. She has a boyfriend, and they have been together for 6 months. She told me that he had asked her to have sex and she said no. He later asked her a couple of times to let him finger her, since it wasn't sex. She finally gave in and let him do it to make him happy. She said that the three times he did it they were both fully clothed, and he just went down her pants. She got scared the third time, because he was hurting her and he wouldn't stop and did it harder. when he finished she said he had a little blood on his finger. She then went to the bathroom and told me that a lot of blood came down and it felt like her period but it wasn't. My daughter wanted to know if she was still a virgin, and my heart was aching. I told her she was, but not quite sure about the whole incident. She apparently told me that most girls are letting their boyfriends do that because it's not sex and they stay virgins. I really need your expert advise so I can convince her about the truth. Thank you, and I know this is an ongoing action in teens today, and they really don't realize it's playing with fire.

I am very confused about "popping my cherry". I have previously read that everyone has to have their cherry popped, but then again some say that there is no skin thing. If not, than why does it hurt when you have sex for the first time or why do you bleed?

I am a virgin, and I really want to lose it myself before I actually have sex because it is embarassing that I still have my virginity and i'm 18. But everytime that I masterbate or try to "pop my cherry" about like 3 inches into my vagina there is like a "sheet" of skin that is hard to push through, I am not sure if it is something you are supposed to push through, or it's my "cherry", I just don't want to hurt myself breaking something I am not supposed to.

I live in Africa. Here, both my religion and culture restrict that a girl should be a virgin unless she gets married. I masterbate and sometimes a lil blood droplet is there in my pants after I masterbate although I don't finger myself. I tried to finger after I saw that blood drop to check if my hymen is still intact, so I pressed my fingers into my vagina and it was there (a sorta layer) and it hurt me so I pulled my fingers out. The thing is, is my hymen still there or not? Should I stop masterbating if I want to keep my virginity or it doesn't matter ?

My friend recently had sex for the first time and she is a year younger than I am and I really want to have sex. Is it wrong to just want to get it over with or is that called being a slut?
