Individual and group counseling is available to women sixteen years of age or older who have experienced sexual assault at any time in their lives. Counselling is also available to parents of children who have been sexualy abused, so long as the parent was not the abuser. Informational groups are provided for partners and family members of sexual assault and abuse survivors. The Avalon Sexual Assault Centre also administers a Sexual Assault nurse Examiner (SANE) program.
