I was just wondering if anyone else out there was struggling with diabetes in anyway, whether you have it, or someone you know does, it is still a hard disease to deal with. I have diabetes and finally have managed to get it under control after a few hard years. I just havent noticed many posts dealing with diabetes and thought maybe others would be interested in talking about it.

Hi Jessica, I just noticed your post; sorry to keep you waiting so long! Are you still around? Would you be willing to start talking about your experiences with diabetes here or might this interest you?

To be random (and maybe come across weirdly)... Did you ever read the Babysitters Club books? I remember thinking the Stacey character was (one of) the coolest and how she had diabetes. If you know the books (love 'em or hate 'em), do you think that was an accurate depiction of a teen living with diabetes? (Nevermind that other aspects of their lives seemed waaay older than their ages of 11 and 13...)

Edit: I found another general thread on talking about chronic illness that you might be interested in.;f=9;t=000982
