To be honest I don't know if that's an appropriate topic. It could just be me, but asking if someone enjoys porn is a little too personal don't you think?

But to answer the question, I don't think it is illegal.

Porn and erotica aren't illegal, unless you're under the age of consumption (which is 18 in most places as far I know). Also, watching pornography isn't something that requires a support group - if it's not interfering with someone's daily life in a significant way, it's totally normal.

We have this article about pornography and if you're interested in discussions of the politics of porn-viewing, a search for it in our Sex Politics section turns up quite a few topics.

I understood you just fine - the tack we take here, as with masturbation, is that watching porn isn't intrinsically bad, or addictive. While many people acknowledge problems of poorly-treated actors, misogyny, or lack of proper sexual health treatments in the porn industry, there is plenty of woman-friendly porn, that uses safer sex out there as well.

So unless it's interfering with someone's day-to-day life, or causing them to act laviciously or violent towards someone (and there's not much peer-reviewed research to indicate porn changes a person's mentality that way), then it's not a habit that necessary to break.

To be frank, if all is consentual and legal, there is absolutely nothing wrong with pornography. Plenty of people enjoy it alone and with lovers and all power to them. I personally get nothing from it, but that's me.
It's not like alchohol or drug abuse.

As far as I'm concerned, porn isn't wrong. Why should it ?

What's the diffrence between an action movie and a porn movie ? They re both forms of "acting"

Porn is only wrong when the person who consumes it, obviously can't control his/her consumtion. It becomes addiction.
And the addiction isn't caused by porn itself. It's caused by the person him/herself. Just like any other addiction.

I would never go out and pay for a porn magazine, nor would I rent a movie. But I wouldn't say no either if someone handed me over such a magazine.
Why ? Simply because I'm curious.

I got an playboy magazine from my cousin, where he lives they've just started to introduce a protected trademark one. (Those before weren't real playboy magazines, it was just a plagiat under the name)
He gave me one cause he thought it was funny that they finnaly can buy a real magazine hehe, I did too find that funny. But have I started watching porn cause of that ?, nope, has my intrest grown ? No.

Let the porn be porn, and let those who want to have it, have it. They aren't hurting other people, and as long they aren't, that's fine by me.
