Since everyone talks about their problems here i just wanted to know if anyone else deals with this daily or anything close to it. When I was little I was diagnosd with ocd. It use to be with cleaness and other things. now the biggest problem is picking my face. I can't pass a mirror without trying to pop something even if theres nothing there ( mirrors anywhere, even at the mall ) i must pick my face at least 15 times a day. it mostly has to do with the fact that i want every single pore to be clean. In the long run i make my face end up looking worse but i just have to do this. does anyone else go through this or anything like it? if so it would really make me feel better to hear your story or offer help. ( i have tried to stop but its way way to hard ) thanks

My friend used to cut herself on her skin like everyday and she talked about it to a teacher and she said they helped and gave her the confidence back and she stopped cutting herself. I hoped I at least helped.

I understand what you are feeling. Although I have not been diagnosed with ocd or seem to suffer from it, I did have the same problem as you. And yes there is a name for it but I cannot remember, you should go to a specialist since this behavior could be linked to your case of OCD. I had the impulse to try and squeeze impurities from my skin. Doing this constantly will only leave you with scars and spots on your face, thankfully mine are gone. I urge you to go to a specialist and talk to him about this, and remember, you cant rid your skin of oil, your skin needs it. And you shouldnt try to rid your skin of any impurities, your body is taking care of that.
