My family is all screwed up. Okay, first off, my dad needs some sort of anger management. He's verbally and emotionally abusive and he's got a terrible temper. My mother is always depressed because of all the problems going on in my house. I'm always depressed because I feel that I have no true friends or anyone who cares about me. My brother, "Russ," is always depressed and cuts himself. He gets terrible grades and also has a bad temper. My little sister, "Ann," is a foster child, and she's almost 8 years old. She also gets depressed because she cannot see her real mother anymore (we're in the process of adoption.) My little brother (also a foster child) has ADHD and gets angry very easily (he has some kind of brian problems...) My exboyfriend broke up with me because I'm too depressed and he can't handle the stress... We're going to go to a family phsych. Is that enough?

Family therapy is an excellent start, but it only works if everyone complies. that means, whatever the counselor sugests, you gotta follow. no slacking. it takes the collected will of all of you to work out the problems. You can help by always encouraging your family members to do the things that will benefit all of you.

if you feel that it's not enough for you, you can also see the counselors at your school.

You can either be part of the problem or part of the solution, but in the end, being part of the problem is much more fun.
