they say that if u ever want to commit suicide, dont! move away, start fresh somewhere else etc and get away from whatever got you down in the first place, but you cant keep running if you're running from yourself..

you know, coldplayer, most advice i've heard was quite the contrary to "move away". it was: face whatever it is, and then *change* it, if it can be changed, and if it can't, let it be.
change is quite different to running away. from my experience running away rarely helps at all. - it might feel better for the moment, but in the long run, it's just not a solution.
i've found that shutting myself off and ignoring/running from issues just made them worse, whereas acknowledging my problems and starting change (often with help from outside), has enabled me to start change for the better.
i think overall the best advice for someone who's depressed and at this very moment thinking about suicide is: get help. straight away. call 911. walk into an er. call a helpline. competent help is the key.
