I've been reading alot of threads about depression, and visited some links on depression, and I have alot of the symptoms of depression. I don't like feeling sad all the time, but I feel uncomfortable talking to my parents about it, and I've been to a counsellor before about drug abuse and self mutilation, but I stopped going, and I didn't like going very much because it felt awkward and boring. Even if I am depressed I do not feel comfortable going on Anti-Deperessants. I know I've kind of cut my options short (no meds/counsellors) but is there possibly ANYTHING else I can do?
---Also, I've been feeling these depressed feelings for a long time now. When I started cutting myself it was August (I haven't for a few months now though =]).. but I do still feel sad, lonely, and unmotivated, ESPECIALLY at school... sorry just thought I'd give some more info.

You're ruling out two of the most effective treatments for depression. And considering you have access to both, it's too bad you're taking it for granted while a lot of other people don't have that sort of chance for treatment.
you might want to try writing or meditation, but if its clinical depression and not just some random case of the blues, those methods might not help you much. I'd give a thumbs up to the counseling, actually. If you feel uncomfortable talking to the counselor, find one who does make you comfy. or tell your current counselor that he/she makes you uneasy and it's cutting into your treatments.
