i recently stumbled across this article about the additional challenges faced by queer people in leaving abusive partners.

how can this be changed?

Well, the question I'd ask you is how do YOU think that this can be changed? That's the important question because in order to engender change, each of us needs to be a part of it, from the ground up.

So given what you just learned from this article, and what you know about abusive relationships, social supports, and cultural values, how do you think that this condition could change?

I also always like to add with things like this that we all can always help by just remembering that we can start at home.

In other words, even if you (and anyone else) just does their level best to have healthy, nonabusive relationships, and remember that EVERYONE is at risk and EVERYONE needs be mindful about our love behaviors, that's already no small deal.
