I know lube makes it easier for sexual intercourse to occur, but what products can be used as lube?

Pretty much? Lube. You don't want to start messing around with anything else. If you do, you never know what might happen.

Best to go to a drugstore and pick up a water-based lube, like KY Jelly, or Astroglide.
