Hello once again!
I need advice on how to make friends.
So I am 20 and I am starting a new school. I used to go to university for visual art and now going to an art college. I am pretty much an artist. And I dress kind of gothish, metal...more like a badass, you know lots of black and plaid skirts, black metal band shirts lol im bleached blonde and dye my ends of my hair red, pink, blue purple etc. I have a nose piercing as well. Um I guess I can say i look much different compared to majority of people in my city. In the past qhen I tried to make friends it is usually 1. Normal people think i look weeird, usually give me odd looks. Its not just me, my boyfriend dresses the same and people give him odd looks too lol. 2 when i did make friends, they never last long. Lots of people stabbed me in the back even though I swear! I havent dont anyrhing to them. I dont understand why i try to be really nice. For examplw, I did nothing to this girl but talk and be nice to her. And one day she told the whole gym class I was lesbian. So in the chging room everyone gave me dirty looks and didnt want ro talk or be near me. I had to find out the hard way. Another example was my best guy friend called me goth/satanist i worship satan jusr so because he can become popular -_- and was known as the devil worshipper in highschool. So that being told I lost trust in human beings lol. 3. in university I did make a few friends a in art school more like other people interested in the arts and music like me. I also had other friends that were really cool since probably it ia much more better then crappy immature highschool. But since then its hard to stay in contact with them, theyre always busy and sometimes they just go away.
Im not depressed or anything about this. I just hardly have trust in people anymore! I want to be able to trust people and also just want to learn how to talk to people and keep them as friends. Im starting college soon and I dont want any of this immature crap anymore. I just want to do my work, have friends, not go through any awkward lonlieness in classes anymore, I just want to start over ! How can I start the new year positively?

Hey there, xmetalgirl: in around the next 24 hours or so, these boards will be closing, and we'll be shifted all the way over to our new boards.

Why don't you come over there and post this so that any conversation doesn't get cut off? [Smile]
