Ok Wasn't quite sure where this could go but this seemed like the most appropriate place.
First post but have been here for awhile having a look around, anyway back on topic.

Having been raised in a non religious household I find it interesting when people freak out when I suggest that there may be more than one god.
Living in what many people still regard as a Christian Protestant country (UK) and with the majority of people who believe in religion being Christian it seems interesting to me to see the reaction if I or anyone suggests that maybe there is more than one deity.

Ok you may say that fair enough on other people I am maybe “insulting” their religion and just trying to be annoying but, I have aclose friend who was raised Hindu (he is of Sri Lankan ancestory but born and raised on the outskirts of London) and when he makes a suggestion of multiple gods there is no reaction.

Now the main thrust of this out pouring ( I do seem to write how I talk so if you do have trouble understanding this then saying it aloud may help – obviously not in a room with other people that may be seen as a bit strange) any opinions on why it seems wrong for me to pularise the word God and not someone who both looks different (hes darker skinned – looks like he is from the Indian subcontinent) and whom most people assume is not Christian.

Is this something that anyone else has noticed or does it only figure in my life?

I have to say that I'm not quite sure what you're asking here. Are you asking if you -- or anyone else -- has the right to say God or Gods, whichever you prefer or feel best fits your belief system?

If so, of course you are: spirituality is personal and subjective.

I'm not sure why you're asking about race in regard to this, either though, especially since plenty of people in the world, of many races, are polytheistic.
