I went on "holiday" lol I'm so american anyways...over winter break I went to the bahamas and met an amazing boy from England. It's been a month since we've been back and we email, text, and use MSN everyday since. I've picked up on a lot of their culture and I love it and I adore him. Anyways, he's sending me something for v-day and I want to get him something extra special...but it needs to be mailed out ASAP to get there in time. A while back I got him a tshirt from my college and a tiny bear but i found out that shipping would be 80 its sitting in my room lol [Smile]

so my question is. Any advice on cheaper shipping?

I'm already planning an amazing hand written card...but what about the gift. Does anyone know of something you cant find in the UK that he would like from the states?

And I'm not sure about how different their v-day, dating, whatever customs are so if theres anything I should be aware of please tell me.

p.s. my friends tell me i'm crazy for all this...but seriously we both know that it probably wont turn into anything... but at the moment we are completly happy with each other, no matter the distance. plus i'm visiting in may! any way i can get my friends off my back?

Thanks so much!

Well, if you can fit the t-shirt and bear into a USPS Global Priority flat rate shipping envelope, that it's $9.50 to ship (pretending that it weighs 4 lbs). Fool around with the USPS shipping calculator and see what you can finagle.

And sometimes it's the simple things that aren't available - candy bars, small snacks, kool-aid, even. You might ask if there were any foods he had on holiday that he liked and can't get a hold of where he is.
