Okay, I know this is really random to post on a sex-ed site, but oh well...
What should I wear to a funeral tomorrow? Will it be considered improper if I wear anything less than a black dress? I don't own one for the winter, and don't want to go out and buy one. I was considering wearing black pants and a muted green sweater set, along with black accessories and a black coat. I wasn't sure if the green would be appropriate, either.
Frankly, I'm tired of thinking about it, but obviously want to do the right thing. It might be worth mentioning that I will be one of literally hundreds at this funeral, and the focus will not be on me in any shape, form or fashion.
Thanks for input!

Generally, the modern etiquette with most funerals is simple sedate, modest clothing, in darker hues.
Sounds like what you have is just fine.
