I've always been fascinated with things like World War Two, Hitler in particular, the Klu Klux Klan, Columbine, Neo-nazis, things like that. If there's a special on TV about any of those things, I have to see it. I'm constantly reading books about them, looking at videos online---mostly videos dealing with Columbine, and finding websites about them. I'm not really sure why I'm so interested in them though. I don't think I want to be like Hitler or Nazis or the Klu Klux Klan or anything like that. I'm not racist or prejudice at all. My best friend is Jewish, another Chinese, and I know it's nothing like that. It's just so interesting. It's not an interesting like "wow I feel sorry for those peopele" though. It's weird. Any ideas where this fixation on these topics might be coming from? Or does anyone else have interests like this?

There's nothing wrong with studying history. In fact, it's an excellent thing to do so.
My fiancee is a WWII history wonk. He's quite enthusiastic learning about it all. He's got out-of-print books and such, and collects memorbilia from that era. That's okay.
The things you're listing as interests are times when the masses are misled, and deviate from the normal, doing terrible things. There's a great deal of literature and such about it. It's natural to want to find out what went wrong, so to speak.
