Yes, people, comics!

Comics are those things that are not simply for children, coz everyobody reads them at some point of time
So, what are your favorite comics? Or what were your fav. comics when you were small?

My personal favorite is the Japanese comic Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne

I also enjoy Calvin and Hobbes a lot

What do you say?

Love,
Leni

It's about grad school, and it's really hilarious. Other than this one, my favorites are FoxTrot, Non Sequitur, and the Boondocks.

Anything by Jhonen Vasquez. Very amusing, dark, and very expressive, if sometimes disturbing artwork.

Graphic novel-ish things... Neil Gaiman's Sandman comics. Very good.

Foxtrot.

Some anime ones... Nausicaa. Utena.

online comics... I like Something Positive

Jhonen Vasquez is GREAT!!! I love Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Squee!, and I Feel Sick. I have them all and read them constanlly.

I am a Marvel fan.. Spiderman (I love Venom), Fantastic Four, Hulk.. etc etc.

When I was younger, I always read Sonic the Hedghog comics.

Some of my current favorites are some manga (Japanese comics) such as:
* Fushigi Yuugi
* Mars
* Revolutionary Girl Utena
* Oh! My Goddess

Whoooo..... comics are great :-D Great idea for a topic!! By the way.... EVERYONE SHOULD LOVE COMICS..... age should not dictate what you do or do not read. Im 16 and LOOOOOOVE comics! Horray for us!

I really like Cat and Girl and Megatokyo, though I'm so bad about remembering when they update, so I get behind.

I am reading Fruits Basket now, and a friend sends me the anime chapters, and it's sooo nice!
Big recommendation It's funny, cute, and all you can ask for ^_^ So if you like cute comics, Fruits Basket is the one (it's a Japanese manga by Natsuki Takaya)

oh, I absolutely love both anime and manga! ^.^ I am reading a very good series called planet ladder right now.

Comic wise, I like a lot of web comics. Take a look at www.keenspace.com They have a crapload of them. Boy meets boy and arcana along with glamour lust is my favorite for sure there.

Strings of fate, Megatokyo, Demonology101 and Penny Arcade are also ones to look out for. I believe they are all on there own sites, not a part of keenspace.

Reading more from Fruits Basket (or Furuba) I came to see that it's not only cute, but it has a complicated plot and all, mystery, drama... it really is great!
Has any of you read it?

Anything Neil Gaiman, Jhonen Vasquez, Roman Dirge, and Edward Gorey (not exactly comics but close enough.)
They're all geniuses. I'm jealous.

Naw, losermoni, tons of people here, myself included, dig the Johnny series. And if people don't know about the joy that is JTHM, why not enlighten them?

I sort of dig X-men comics, but only so I can lust over Gambit. Mmm, Gambit.

I read "One Piece", a comic (also an animation) of Japan...
It has been translated into English (just saw it on Cosco last time)
It mainly talks about a young boy whose wish is to become the king of pirate and find the treasure "one piece"
The story has many meaningful lessons and funny jokes. I love One Piece.

Not sure if anyone's heard of this one...But, Blue Monday by Chynna Clugston Major? It's set in the early 90's [a sweet time period, even though I was a little kid] with high school kids' lives revolving around postpunk music, mischief and more. But I think I lost my copy of the first novel, The Kids Are Alright...-_-;
