Almost anything my Gramma made. She was a amazing cook. But I have the recipes now...mwahahaha...

She made a mean mac and cheese.

My absolute favorite food is the potato. You can do anything with those suckers.

-Falafel, like jewishpunk said
-Japanese jelly desserts and Pocky (Green tea's the best -- I think, but I love that there's a flavour just for men. Truly)
-Granny Smith apples (Beatle apples)
-Kulfi (Indian frozen creamy things, pistachio's the best)
- Fresh white bread
- Those little pots of ice cream that come with wooden paddle-spoon-things. Ice cream tastes better with the added hint o'tree.
- Potatoes. No other vegetable's as versatile.

Mmmm. This thread is making me hungry!

I love cheese - grilled cheese, string cheese, macaroni and cheese, nachos with cheese, cheesecake, mozzarella sticks...I'm pretty much a cheese freak.

I like chocolate, too, and turkey sandwiches from Subway. I love hot drinks like coffee, tea, cocoa, and cider. I love cereal and anything involving the greatest vegetable ever - the potato.

I will also eat almost anything provided it is dipped in Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing. Yum.

Oh, and as for meals - I'd have to say my grandmother's chicken and gravy over chicken boullion (sp?) rice. There's something so wonderful about the spicy rice and warm gravy .

Oh my... my favorite food is food that has a fine taste... Like Caesar Wrap, Hamburgers, Cookies, Pizza, etc (as long as the food don't taste too sweet)

My mottos(to speak the truth, they are from the animation, One Piece :P ):

A chef's first life is his hands; how can he hurt the hands by fighting?

A chef's second life is his knives; how can it be deprived by others?

A chef cannot be afraid of fire; otherwise how does he suppose to cook? :P

A good chef never wastes fine food, and food that is cooked with love makes it taste good

(if you see the anime, you would understand why the chef never wastes food... it is a really meaningful short story on Series No. 6, or maybe 7... out of topic again

I am wondering about this dish everybody refers to as "Pocky". Is it an abbreviation for something? We don't have it in my area...or at least I've never heard of it...what is it? I'm sensing it must be quite yummy since you all seem to love it .

Pocky are thin sticks of biscuit or pretzel dipped in chocolate or icing. They're Japanese, and come in about a million flavours, and some variations on size and texture, too.
http://www.alde.com/anime/pocky1.html

Oh, and you can find them in most Asian grocery shops (we've an Indian shop that's got them, too). Start with chocolate, or one of the Mousse flavours, if you see them, because they seem most popular.

Thanks a bunch, Milke. It looks/sounds yummy...in general, is Pocky salty or sweet? I'm thinking sweet because of all the chocolate types...

It's sweet (thught the Men's variety has a wee bit of salt in the pretzel. Pretz, made by the same company, are salty, and come in weird flavours like Baked Potato, but no one seems to care about them.
