C'mon, you know you use them! What are your favorite lines and phrases from movies? Are there lines that you said perhaps when you were little that you would just die if you heard yourself say today? Or do people around you recite lines that you just can't help but giggle at? "I'll be back" (Terminator) was a popular line for a loooooong time. What is overused, outdated, and just plain funny to hear when used today?
------------------ "Always shoot for the moon because even if you miss you'll land among the stars." -Unknown
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock ..."
Orson Welles as Harry Lime in "The Third Man". Directed by Carol Reed, script by Graham Greene. I will never forget the first time I heard that.
------------------ The most exciting phrase in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not "Eureka!" ("I found it!") but rather "Hmmm... that's funny...."
- Isaac Asimov

"Ezekial 25:17: 'The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, sheperds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truely his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon thee.'" Posts: 82 | From: Colorado, US | Registered: Aug 2000

"Ahhh this Yohoo is good, you know what eles is good? Yohoo with a little rum." -"whats rum?" "you dont know what rum is?" -"rumplstilkin?" "yeah rumplstilkins a good man, and so are you guys, stay clean, stay focased, Frankenstin have fun with your friends. I'll see you when you get home"
WOOOHOOO i love the movie Big Daddy! me and my freinds will say these lines over and over and they never where out. Abby
------------------ When a player makes a play, hes considerd a pro; when a girl take a turn shes considerd a hoe
I remembered more! One's from Jurassic Park: "Faster...faster. Must...go...faster."
"I'm the better person!" It's a satirical thing my friends came up with when, at a movie, two were arguing. The first one apologized, and after the other did, the first said, "HA! I apologized first! I'm the better person!" It has since blossomed into a generalized phrase. Most recently, last night, when Tina won Survivor, I got to say it. "I'm right! You're wrong! I'm the better person!"
I wouldn't call this my favorite movie quote but I surely like it alot. Good Will Hunting should have won Best Picture that year, instead of that big sinking boat movie. It's really long but very funny.
"Why shouldn't I work for the N.S.A.? That's a tough one, but I'll give it a shot. Say I'm working at N.S.A. Somebody puts a code on my desk, something nobody else can break. So I take a shot at it and maybe I break it. And I'm real happy with myself, because I did my job well. But maybe that code was the location of some rebel army in North Africa or the Middle East. Once they have that location, they bomb the village where the rebels were hiding and fifteen hundred people I never had a problem with get killed. Now the politicians are saying, "Send in the marines to secure the area" because they don't give a s***. It won't be their kid over there, getting shot. Just like it wasn't them when their number was called, because they were pulling a tour in the National Guard. It'll be some guy from Southie taking shrapnel in the a**. And he comes home to find that the plant he used to work at got exported to the country he just got back from. And the guy who put the shrapnel in his a** got his old job, because he'll work for fifteen cents a day and no bathroom breaks. Meanwhile my buddy from Southie realizes the only reason he was over there was so we could install a government that would sell us oil at a good price. And of course the oil companies used the skirmish to scare up oil prices so they could turn a quick buck. A cute little ancillary benefit for them but it ain't helping my buddy at two-fifty a gallon. And naturally they're taking their sweet time bringing the oil back, and maybe even took the liberty of hiring an alcoholic skipper who likes to drink martinis and play slalom with the icebergs, and it ain't too long until he hits one, spills the oil and kills all the sea life in the North Atlantic. So my buddy's out of work and he can't afford to drive, so he's got to walk to the job interviews, which sucks because the schrapnel in his a** is giving him chronic hemorroids. And meanwhile he's starving because every time he tries to get a bite to eat the only blue plate special they're serving is North Atlantic scrod with Quaker State. So what do I think? I'm holding out for something better. Why not just shoot my buddy, take his job and give it to his sworn enemy, hike up gas prices, bomb a village, club a baby seal, hit the hash pipe and join the National Guard? I could be elected president."
I love this movie.

"Why are you smiling?" "Because there is something you do not know... I am not left handed!" *sound of swords clashing* "Why are YOU smiling?" "Because there is something YOU do not know, I am also not left handed!" *clashing agian*
