Hello,
I'm actually asking this question for a friend of mine that is extremely worried that she might be pregnant. She made the mistake of having unprotected sex on the 3rd of May, but then got her period on the 6th of May. It lasted three days, like all her usual periods and had quite a heavy flow (also not unusual). Around a week after getting her period she took a pregnancy test that claimed to be over 99% effective, and has had no symptoms of pregnancy (apart maybe from some gas). She also had her normal period this month (June) but somehow she remains convinced she could be pregnant! Is there really any risk that she could be?

It would be a good idea to tell your friend to come and make their own account. That way we can try to give them the help they need and deserve.

But you can tell them that pregnant people don't have periods. You didn't say what was the result of the pregnancy test but I'm taking it was negative. If so, then two periods and a negative pregnancy test is a clear sign pregnancy didn't happen. [Smile]
