My boyfriend and I use condoms. My cycle is always 30 to 33 days long. I got pretty crampy like I usually do before my period but then I didn't get it.I don't think there was a high risk because we use condoms. Sometimes we put it on a bit late but we've never had problems before. When my period was a few days late I took a test and it was negative. Now I still have not gotten it and it is 9 days late. I'm just worried because I've never ever missed a period before, it always comes right when I expect it. Should I take another test or am I overreacting? Is there a chance that the first test was wrong?

I would suggest another test.

And just so you know, proper use of condoms does mean wearing them the whole time. So, if they are your only method and you want them to reduce pregnancy as best they can, it is very important to use them properly. Using them the way you are does bump down their effectiveness pretty considerably ( from around 96% in a year to 82%).

Thanks for your advice. Okay, I will remember to use them the whole time. I read the peeing on a stick article and I'm wondering if it matters what kind of test you get, or if they're all the same. They all say they work 5 days before your period.

It doesn't matter which test you have as long as you follow the instructions that come with that test, as the different tests are all a little different.

The one you took should be correct as you took it once your period was already late, but as your period's still not come and there was a chance of pregnancy from not using condoms the whole time, it's worth doing another test now it's a few days later, just to double-check.
