If theres one thing I regret, its not trying to help people. Ive therefore took it upon myself to pay more attention to the forums on this website. Random I know but I feel Ive took advantage of this great website and gave nothing in return.
Anyways to my question
I would like to ask, if anyone has been subject to emotional abuse from a partner or family member. I know its a delicate matter but Id like to hear about other peoples experiences.
I for one have not been a victim of such abuse (touch wood) however a friend of mine (no really, its a friend - not a euphemism for myself ) is a victim. They may not realise it, but myself and her best friends have noticed. Her boyfriend has been shunning her, disrespecting her and being very controlling. Its really hard to explain - Id really have to give an example. However one night one of her best friends happened to say something which sadly ended in a massive fall out. It has split our friend circle. I dont want to get involved, but in all honesty something has to be done.
Id just like to know what shes going through, and how others handled being a victim or seeing someone become one.
If anyone cares to ask about my friends situation feel free I want to help! But I need yours
Thanks dudes!

What I meant in your other post, The Prophet, was that this section is FULL of first-person posts about their abusive relationships, getting out and coping, and you can read all of them, if you like.
It's also A-OK to post this here, but you won't get the level of response the existing posts number as.
I do think, however, you'll probably get responses about helping friends in abuse. Would you also like some articles and main-site information on the topic?
