I am a reporter interested in talking with teens who have been abused in a dating relationship. Has a dating partner ever texted you around the clock, demanding to know where you are and what you are doing? Did he or she order you to stop doing things you liked, to stop seeing friends or family, to dress differently? Have you been insulted, called names, threatened, grabbed, hit, pushed, followed, or otherwise hurt or frightened? Please email me; I would like to talk with you. We can talk confidentially, if you like, for now; you can decide later whether to go public. I am happy to tell you more about my credentials.
My goal for the story is to help alert people to the signs and patterns of dating abuse so that it DOESN’T happen to other teens. By telling your story, you may help prevent someone else’s suffering.
What's most important when I write articles: YOU COME FIRST. If you talk to me & then decide you don't want your story told, or that it can only be told with details and names changed, I will respect your wishes.

(FYI, I got an email from ej, and this is fine to have at the boards. I'd encourage any of you who want to to participate.)

I would be interested in participating, but with names and details changed. I was with my abusive boyfriend for one and a half years and he haunts me everyday still in the hallways of our school even though we have not spoken since. I would do anything to prevent this from happening to others.

Thank you so much! Please email me at ejgraff@brandeis.edu, and let's set up a time to talk confidentially by phone.
Anyone else who would like to contact me should feel free to do so as well.
(Heather: I hope it's okay to post my email address. I don't know how else anyone could get in touch with me.)
