Today. .er, well, now it's technically yesterday, but anyway, yesterday was my birthday and a truly fine one--better than my past few and to top it off, what should I find in the mailbox but my very own autographed copy of S.E.X.!
I'll be giving it to my sister, but what I was wondering is have the books been released in California yet? Does it get released all at once or released state by state or something like that? It's just 'cause I'm going to buy a second copy for my sister's school library and I can't use amazon because my account's all 'effed up, so I was just wondering when it was gonna hit the stands.

(Still on the road, only have a minute. But that makes me very happy: I got my author copies on MY birthday, so I know all about that birthday book joy. )
You should be able to get the books on shelves in CA by now: they were all sent at the same time, from NYC, but it takes longer for them to move across the coast, and it's also a metter of how long it takes a given bookstore to shelve new things. If the bookstore you use doesn't have them, you can easily ask them to special order, and it usually doesn't cost you a dime.
