right, as ppl may kno ma girlfriend is in ireland, and being wthout her has made me realise how much i dont want to loose her and how much i want to be with her.

well what i want to do is ask her to marry me, but i dont know whats the best way to do it, wheres the best place to do it, and whens the best time to do it.

ive been watching films and stuff like tha and got some ideas, but it made me think that it isnt real life, and things liek that cant always happen.

so i was wondering that if anyone out there has been engaged in a mega romantic way could give me some advice.

would be much appreciated.

thanks [Smile]

Really, marriage isn't about creating a way not to lose someone, nor does it guarantee that.

Have the two of you ever discussed your future life plans and goals together? How about things like if you'd even want to live together, how you'd manage finances together, and how you plan to deal with some of the conflicts you've had recently? About how she even feels about marriage and if that's something she has any interest in?

There's really nothing very romantic about asking about marriage because you feel insecure about a relationship and are worried about losing it. A more realistic and age=appropriate gesture right now might be something like writing her a letter about how you miss her and sending that, maybe even sending her flowers where she is, making a piece of art for her, etc.

Or, when she gets back, you can simply talk about how you've been feeling and that you want to talk about a commitment that speaks more to how you're feeling.
