Ok, me and my best friend have become very close(as in trust and friend wise) over the past two years, but then she told me that she has a crush on me. I accept that(and am flattered) but I'm not sure of how I feel toward her. And I am afraid that I might actually like her, but I don't want people to judge me for who I might or might not like. What should I do? Please help me.

First, you have to sort out how you feel. Take some time, and consider the time you've spent together. Did you have feelings for her before she admitted the crush, or after she revealed it to you?

If it turns out you do like her, talk with her about how you feel, and what your limits are. I don't know how old you are, but generally in a living situation/community where you're afraid of what people might think means that you'd have to keep it to yourselves for the most part. Would you be okay with that?

If not, she'll likely be disappointed, but have a talk anyway and see if you can sort things out.

I enthusiastically agree with Miss Lauren in that you need to sort out how you feel first. Figure out what your feelings are, and what direction you would like the relationship to go (remain platonic, or develop romantically).

I do have to ask though, why exactly are you afraid of people judging you for who you might like? Is it simply because she is your best friend? It is not at all uncommon for close friendships to develop romantically...so I wouldn't think that to be something that would be judged harshly. Are there other factors that make you nervous about this?
