of all the people for me to be jealous of, it has to be her. she's my best friend, my roomate... my biggest competition. i'm sitting here, alone, trying to get through an enforced two week break from a former "friend with benefits" (long story, didn't work out, now suffering) and she's over at his house, baking cookies with him and his roomate.

it's driving me insane.

i can't stop picturing them, hooking up behind my back. i mean, they get along so well, they both find each other attractive, whose to say they're not doing it right now, sprawled on the kitchen table with cookie dough being licked off each others bodies? gawd.

she keeps on trying to tell me it would never happen. but i can't help it. i'm petrified that he likes her more than me, that he wants her more than me. that i got ditched because he wants to be with her instead.

i wish i could tell her to never see him again, but they're friends. we were all friends in the beginning, it's not right for me to ask her to give that up because him and me aren't working out.

but still... am i nutso or what? should i be taken into a field and shot for not trusting my best friend?

jealousy bites.

it's natural to feel jealous... i'm the same way with my girlfriend.. she hangs out with some of my guy friends and has more fun with them than me.. so it seems... you just have to trust her and not jump to conclusions... if it really bothers you, just have a nice long chat about it.. tell your partner exactly how you feel about it and find neutral ground... if you love her.. you would trust her and she wouldn't keep any secrets from you...

Tweaktastic is right, you have to have a talk with your roommate. You cant keep it all inside of you, or else one day she might really get on your case, and all this stuff will be flying out of your mouth. Then she will wonder what the hell you are talking about.

So talk to her, jealousy is normal, buts its not healthy. Especially if you live with someone you are jealous of.

As I always say communication is the key to a relationship. Not just boyfriend and girlfriend relationships but friends as well. If you are going to get any where you have to talk about what the problem is. Its no fun to live with somebody that really bothers you.

Good Luck, Hunnie…

I'm confused- is it your best guy friend with your girlfriend? Or your girlfriend with one of her friends?

It was a **friends with benifits** type thingy with the guy. (It didnt work out for some reason that wasnt explained.) So now shes scared thats her **friends with benifits** guy and her roommate are going to be together in some way.

Thats why she is jealous. Is that what it is asalie? I think I got it right.

wow, i didn't realize until i had read my own post again that it is sort of ambigious. but glitter695 is right. The "friends with benefits" was a guy, and my roomate is a girl.
