So my boyfriend and I have had sex 3 times this month using a condom & pulling out + im on birthcontrol pills and i take them regularly. Anyway my period is due in 4 days but last night I had some light bleeding and it was the same color red as if I had gotten a cut eg it was bright red. Anyway I heard implantation bleeding can happen then etc - but Im not sure if I could have had a ruptured cyst. I have had pain on my right ovary for about 1-3 months and it has been really bad this month. Then last night before the bleeding I had sharp pains in my right ovary then all the pressure and pain stopped and thats when i found the bleeding and light mucousy stuff (TMI Sorry!).

My question is do you think its more likely to be implantation or a cyst rupture (oh and i have had a ruptured cyst before and it felt similar to this)? Also can people bleed lightly after a cyst does rupture?

thanks xx

It sounds like your doctor is the best person to talk to about this. Anytime you are experiencing pains that do not go away, it is a good idea to talk to a doctor anyway.
