So me and my boyfriend had sex for the first time about a week ago and I'm super paranoid about pregnancy.

We used a condom + withdrawal + fertility awareness perfectly. And checked for rips or holes afterwards.. And there werent any.
Which is going a little bit over board. But we dont want any babies right now

I know everything is fine but I cant stop thinking about pregnancy at the back of my head.
I think its because with most of the birth control methods we used I have to rely on him.
So ive been considering going on the pill.
Any advice?

I'm not sure what kind of advice you're asking for here.

Advice on which method or methods of contraception you might feel better about?

Yeah.
And your opinion about the methods we're using.
And effectiveness

Have you already walked yourself through our piece/tool to help you choose a method or methods best for you?

That piece not only includes effectiveness rates for all methods, but helps each user figure out which methods are most likely to meet their own unique needs.

That's here: Birth Control Bingo!

Does it also include effectiveness of combined methods?

You can find those on a different page, here: The Buddy System: Effectiveness Rates for Backing Up Your Birth Control With a Second Method

(Though that page only covers any two methods combined, both because figuring out the probabilities for three is just too iffy, and more because, as you'll see, combining two gets pretty much every method, in proper use, to as near 100% as it gets.)

Just holler after you look at those if you've still questions! [Smile]
