I'm 19,+I recently did a post about heavy periods. Had a blood test and have to go doctors next Tuesday for an examination and results. I am now quite concern if anything serious might be to do with my periods. I went on nhs website and I have suffered quite a lot of symptom read here. I know you shouldn't self diagnose yourself on the internet but I'm desperate for closure! My mum did have breast cancer but apparently it's not genetic. Please help been worried for a long time

HI BBT93,
It's certainly can be worrisome when something goes wonky with our bodies. I'm very glad to hear that you're seeing a doctor and getting the tests you need to figure out what's going on.
Looking at the list of symptoms on the page you linked, I think it's important to remember that many of these symptoms are also symptoms of other conditions. So, it's really not accurate to jump to the conclusion of cancer.
What you do is up to you, of course, but it sounds, based on how worried you are, like it might be a good idea for you to stay away from sites that list symptoms and worse case scenarios. It's not terribly productive and seems to be hindering rather than helping you.
We can't tell you here what is going on with your body. What we can tell you, again, is that you're taking good steps towards figuring that part out, and that at this point tests are really going to be the only way you're going to learn what's going on.
What kinds of things do you think will help you get through the next few days until your appointment?

I have no idea to be honest well I did get a latter about the blood tests.saying there nothing to worry about but I still need to go in to.discuss results. So I'm less stress but its the examination now. Perhaps I shouldn't try and find closure for myself and wait until the doctors tell me what what.

The doctor is really the only person who can figure out, through examination and tests, what is going on.
I know waiting is scary.
