My belly button has been bothering me for the past few days and I didn't think anything about it. I just assumed that my pants may have irritated it. But today when I went to look at it there was green, smelly pus and the skin was pinkish. I've also felt nausea the past few days as well. What could be the cause of this and is the nausea related? I have no, nor have I ever, had a piercing near my navel.

Wow, sounds uncomfortable and a little unnerving.


This is a little out of our realm of expertise as a sex ed site.

Any time there is any bodily change, especially when it involves discomfort or pain, it's a really good idea to see a health care professional. [Smile]
