Ok so I started my period last week so I haven't shaved down there in a week and I just shaved today and I saw a bump on the outer lips of my vag so I squeezed it and it popped like a pimple, I don't know what it is I assumed it was a pimple but I saw what looked like 2 more small ones on the other side..I didn't touch them but I'm worried? I'm probably overreacting because I'm such a germaphobe but ya! Please help me calm down ughhh

.it's always scary when something new and different pops up (no pun intended!) with our bodies.
Do you notice anything else different? Different smell? Different appearance (take a look in a mirror perhaps?). Different sensation? Did anything happen when it popped? Pain, or oozing, or something?
Many people experience in-grown hairs when they shave. Do you?
I'd certainly say it's worth getting yourself checked out by a doctor or other health care professional if you're worried about what it could be, or whether it will become infected.

It sounds like they're pimples to me as well; like those we get on our faces - common and harmless. Pimples anywhere can be a PMS symptom or be cause by getting too hot and sweating; genitals can trap sweat and pimples can form. It could be that your genitals got a little hot if you aren't used to having hair there - and pads if you were using them. Also, if we pop pimples, the bacteria can spread; causing more pimples in that area. Pimples and rashes can also be caused by shaving.
However, we can't diagnose anything over the internet, so I cannot say that they're pimples for absolute sure. The best idea would be to check in with a doctor or an OB/GYN about this; because it's always a good idea get into the habit of getting anything checked out that seems new. It's a good idea to start our reproductive healthcare once we start our periods anyway, so the timing is perfect for that.
