okay im on the pill yasmin and ive been on it since early july. my boyfriend and i took a break from having sex but previously we used the withdrawl method. if my boyfriend and i start having sex again and he ejaculates inside me, what is the chance of me getting pregnant? i take the pill on time every day and rarely skip one (rare meaning i only skipped one since july.)

Please do not double-post, it is against the guidelines you agreed to when you signed on. I answered your post there: http://www.scarleteen.com/forum/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/27/t/020019/p/1.html#000001

Well, then I simply do not understand what you're asking for, really. What kind of other infos would you be interested in having, just tell me so I can try my best to help ? Would you like me to link you to some other articles on the site that might also help you ?

(And btw, we are all volunteers here with life outside of ST and we're trying our best to help. [Smile] )

Starrbaby, there is no reason to get snarky. All of us Volunteers are knowledgeable on these topics, and when we don't know something, we know where to look it up.

You ask what your chances of pregnancy are if you rely on the pill alone, and the answer is just as Cool told you: With typical use, the pill alone is about 92% effective, with perfect use the failure rate is less than one percent.

Also, know that if you want a "professional" opinion, your doctor or pharmacist is the person to call. We make no representation that we are licensed medical professionals, though several of us are nurses or studying for the field (cool87 is among these).

A doctor would have told you the same thing because there's simply no way to calculate YOUR risk of becoming pregnant on a given method; all we have is stats on perfect and typical use, which you were provided. These conclusions and percentages are drawn based on primary use, as in the pill being used alone, ejaculation occurring or not, based on the participating testers and the individuality of their relationships.
